My obsession over digital pets 14 March, 2010 by Yan
When Blizzard announced that they were going to produce collectible plush toy pets with in game codes, I knew that eventually they would end up as one of my collections. To be honest, I wasn’t that interested in the plush toy but rather the in game codes for a similar looking pet within the World of Warcraft itself.
With almost 40% of World of Warcraft players being Asian and Singapore recognized as one of its major Asian hubs, it wasn’t difficult to purchase the plush toys from the official Blizzard store directly. The only problem that stands though is the price. You could own one of the plush toy for a cool USD$25. With 2 opposing faction’s of toys to collect, it just meant that I had to shell out USD$50 (not including the shipping) for both of them.
Do take note that the plush toys are only available for a limited amount of time and that each customer is only allowed to purchase 3 of the plush toys each. I doubt anyone would buy more than a pair. Not unless they are planning to resell them. Thus, this is really an expansive hobby…

After just a week after confirming the orders, the plush toys arrived at my doorstep. Blizzard really does not save on the shipping and handling.

The main reason I got these plush toys for. The in game codes. Gryphon hatchling.

Wind rider cub.

After redeeming the codes, I admit that I no longer have much use for them. Maybe except to show the rest my friends how hardcore I am at pet collecting in World of Warcraft.
