Passpo’s third world tour single takes them to Germany28 September, 2012 by Chad
Scheduled for release next Wednesday on October 3, Wing is the 6th major single from the Japanese travel themed idol group, PASSPO. The last in their world inspired series of singles after “Next Flight” featured LA Metal and “Natsuzora Hanabi”, Japanese Punk, Wing takes PASSPO to Europe for some German Metal.
PASSPO’s previous single Natsuzora Hanabi had been one of their catchiest in a while, but overall, Wing lives up to expectations. It features the same sort of rock music and heavy riffs that fans have come to know the group for. Oddly though, they’ve gone with a vampire theme for the music video. You’d think there must be dozens of other things to associate Germany with before Nosferatu.
Despite the flight attendant thing PASSPO’s has going on looking like a narrower theme, the group has consistently churned out some great costumes. For Wing, their outfits have been based off elements from German airlines Lufthansa’s.
Wing will come in two main versions. A regular “Economy Class” CD version for 1,000 yen and a 1,680 yen “First Class” CD+DVD version which will include the promotional video for Wing, and an entry ticket for their special “Passpo Fes vol.3” live performance at Zepp Tokyo in October. There are also two special “flight” versions (the term PASSPO uses to refer to their concerts) which include tickets for their Osaka or Tokyo concerts in November at 2,500 yen each.Click here to search CDJapan for Wing and other related items.
