Tokyo Banana Kurobe
Tokyo Banana, chocolate version
29 June, 2010 by Yan
I’m sure by now that most readers would be familiar with the Tokyo Banana that I wrote about previously. In addition to several other sweets under the guise of the Tokyo Banana branding, the company also produces a chocolate rendition of all the original. Today I’ll be introducing the sister counterpart to Tokyo Banana: the Tokyo Banana Kurobe(東京ばな奈の黒ベエ).
There are multiple items in the Kurobe series. For those interested to check out the whole list of Tokyo Banana Kurobe products, here’s a link to the official website.
I managed to get a friend to help me specifically pick up the Kurobe series products during his trip to Japan, so I will be slowly featuring the different products available, beginning with the very first variation, the Tokyo Banana Kurobe (it’s easier remembered as the chocolate flavor Tokyo Banana).
Pictures and taste review below.
The taste of the Tokyo Banana Kurobe is almost exact to its sister counterpart, with the addition of the chocolate flavoring within. It boils down to a matter of personal preference when choosing between the original Tokyo Banana or Tokyo Banana Kurobe. My verdict will be to best purchase both different flavors to enjoy, provided you have the money to blow on these rather expensive snacks.
