Chill out in SCAPE with some frost09 August, 2011 by Yan
The chances are that once you hang out on a place long enough, you’ll start finding more chill out options at the vicinity. Summer Frost is one such find, after numerous occasions of visiting *SCAPE for that reason. Frozen dessert, reasonably priced and a great place to hang out. What’s there not to like about having an addition spot to chill?
As their shop name suggests, their signature frost items are the stuff that shouldn’t be missed. In case anyone can’t really catch the idea from the pictures, the frozen desserts are basically flavored shaved ice/sorbets. If frost desserts are not to your liking, they also have a range of hot and cold beverages and small bites for order.
Playing mix and match, one can choose any single type of ice flavor and add any toppings that they fancy from the list. Thus creating their own personal flavor. But if you belong to the more laid back kind, they also offer combo frost sets with frost and toppings pre-selected. Trust me, nothing can go wrong with their suggested sets since the combinations are usually very safe options.
Granted, I went safe mode and ordered a couple frost combo sets to try out. As most of the pairings suggests, they matched their flavors perfectly. But if in any case where the combo sets toppings are not available, the staff at summer frost are still happy to mix in other available toppings to cover up. In this case the red bean matcha combo set, the red beans that are not available was substituted with the nata de coco topping instead.
Despite changing their place of operation from the NTU campus to the current *SCAPE outlet, Summer Frost’s target audience has hardly changed. Now providing the same delectable frost desserts for the teens hanging out at SCAPE. Still finding that elusive place to chill out in town? Maybe you can give Summer Frost a try for their decent location and soothing frost desserts.
