SMRT Circle Line, Stadium Station
The orange colored subway line in Singpore

With half of the SMRT (Singapore Mass Rapid Trasnit) Circle Line operational on 17th April this year, I decided to head down to the stations to take a look. The Circle Line is considered the 4th main railway line to be implemented in Singapore’s transport system.
Since May last year the Circle Line had already started serving passengers, but before now, only a small handful of stations linking the areas of Bishan were operational. With the route to Dhoby Ghaut Station complete, the Circle Line effectively links areas from the north side of Singapore to the town area. This will supposedly help ease the congestion on the other main lines by a little. With 16 stations to cover, I had to choose the more interesting ones to drop by.
The Circle Line will feature the Art in Transit program, which consists of artwork that are integrated into station designs, as well as Art Seats. Among the few stations that I passed by, I would have to say that the Stadium and Bras Basah stations had the most impressive interiors. In this article, I’d like to share with you the pictures of the Stadium station that I took on the go. Pictures below.

Stadium Station. Took a ride from Dhoby Ghaut station and stopped by several stations before reaching it.

A semi-hidden walkway located at the side of the escalator. The Singapore stadium can be seen from here.
