Mukaiawase

It’s only been one month since she brought us the album Baby but today marks the day Aiko’s releases her new single Mukaiawase (向かいあわせ). It’s a good ploy to strike while the iron is hot, getting the most coverage and sales out of the short release dates. Sadly, I have messed up my order and ended up with 2 exact same CDs.

Rather than listening to my bias reviews on how good might this single be, I’d rather attach the music commercial and let you be the judge. It’s a rather short commercial but it should be enough to tide fans over until someone on Youtube comes out with the full promo video.

Mukaiawase also happens to be the main theme song for the ダーリンは外国人 (My Darling is a Foreigner) movie which is scheduled to air on April 10th. What was caught my eye for the movie is that Mao Inoue was cast as the main female lead. She’s also the leading actress in the popular Hana Yori Dango drama series and movie, which shot her into stardom in Japan. I’ll be interested in watching the movie, if given the chance.
