Macau Trip 2008 Day 1

Day 1 of our 5 day trip to Macau, Hong Kong and Zhuhai. it was a family visit, but the underlying objective was to check out the casinos in Macau and buy fake branded goods in Zhuhai 
The Venetian hotel was really impressive. Their casino was, super mega huge. You can’t see from one end to the other end. It’s too big! There were rows upon rows of live tables, roulette, poker, blackjack, sic bo, and this strange game where they count white buttons…
I did go try my luck at roulette again. Was winning at first, but noooo i had to get greedy and deposited money in the end xD. My dad won like HK3500 though. He put max bet(HK100) on number 15 and it came out exact! Epic win.

Waiting around at budget terminal… it was really budget. Nothing much to see or do.
7.30am, our tiger plane.

Seats were cramp. But my grandma seems to be having fun xD
No small screens in the seats in front. So, bring your own!
My dad found other forms of entertainment for the 3 hour flight.
270 minutes later, we’re in macau! And got to ride this really fat bus.

I thought the main lobby was cool, until i saw the central part. The hand on the left is the guard telling me i can’t take photos of the casino below.

And this is the smallest suite in the hotel.
The ‘toilet’ is about the same size as my room can!
Even comes with face-magnifying vanity mirrors!
Here’s how the place looks indoors. The sky was painted on the super high ceiling.
Plus a canal runs throughout the place.

Oh yea. Feels like, Venice.
One of the stilt walkers. He got mobbed by tourist and couldn’t walk around anymore.
Few shots of the outside. According to me cousin a lot of couples come here to have their wedding photos taken.
My lens got fogged at this point. Took forever to dry up. Spent the rest of the day in the casino.
In the evening we walked around the nearby streets for some sightseeing.

Bought loads of from snacks from this shop on our way back.
Stopped by this random place for dinner. Highly recommended by me cousin.
But the menus were all in Chinese!
After much translating i ordered this steak, only SGD$8!
Took a cab back to the hotel at about 11pm. That’s the end of day one!
