Japan’s most famous cosplayer will visit Singapore this month04 August, 2011 by Chad
There’s less than three weeks away till the Singapore Toy, Game & Comic Convention 2011. Local cosplay aficionados would probably know by now that Kipi, the highly acclaimed Japanese cosplayer will be making her appearance in Singapore for the first time at this year’s event. Interested parties will no doubt want to come down to catch a glimpse of this cosplay superstar.
A veteran of such events in Japan and beyond. Kipi is perhaps one, if not the most famous cosplayer in the world. It is only appropriate that she will be judging this year’s cosplay competition at the STGCC. Fellow cosplayers will also be able to get tips from Kipi herself during the show’s forum sessions, as well as an exclusive meet-the-fans session.
This year’s STGCC will be held on the 20th and 21st of August. One day tickets seem to be selling for an affordable $10, with 2 day passes going at $18. As with last year, ticket prices will be offset with free goodies upon entry and numerous free autograph opportunities throughout the day. For more information, it’s probably better to check out the STGCC Official Website itself.
Until then, here are some amazing shots by MPzero of Kipi as Alice. Fittingly taken at what seems to be the Tokyo Disney Resort.
Kipi is just one of the numerous amazing guests coming to Singapore for this year’s STGCC. We’ll definitely be heading down later this month to experience this once a year event. Fans might also want to bookmark and check out Kipi’s blog during her stay for any impressions of Singapore.
