It’s All Too Much / Never Say Die

I was rather surprised that YUI didn’t came up with any albums this year, but instead released another double A-side single It’s All Too Much / Never Say Die. Another surprise was her brand new hairstyle for the single. I was kinda shocked when I saw her new image for the single (it’s not like her new hairstyle was anything scary, but I still prefer her normal long hair). All’s good though and It’s All Too Much / Never Say Die marks YUI’s 2nd double A-side single since My Generation / Understand. Since it’s still a good 2 months before 2010, there’s still a small hope that she might have a new album in the making.

With the release of a every new single or album, you can find a jackpot machine on YUI’s website that links you wallpapers each time you win the game. A nifty feature but it’s a lot of luck and work to get all the different wallpapers. For the benefit of readers, I’ll link the wallpapers of It’s all too Much / Never Say Die that comes with the release of this single.

To be honest, I liked both of the A-sides featured, but it felt that “Never Say Die” was a tad bit too short. Maybe that’s how the song should be like, akin to “Ruido”. I was hope that YUI would come up with an encore version for it in the next album. It’s All Too Much / Never Say Die was also used as the main theme and insert song for the movie Kaiji.
