I LOVE YOU -now & forever-
Southern All Stars leader to release best of album
12 June, 2012 by Chad
Music genius Kuwata Keisuke is set to release his “best of” album I LOVE YOU -now & forever- next month on 18th July 2012. The double disc special will contain 30 of his best hit singles from his solo debut in 1987 “Kanashii Kimochi” all the way to his as of yet unreleased recent collaboration with Docomo “Itoshii Hito e Sasagu Uta”.
Kuwata is of course, the leader and mastermind behind legendary band Southern All Stars, which has been on hiatus since 2009. He was diagnosed with esophageal cancer and after undergoing surgery in 2010 returned to activity last year with MUSICMAN, his first album in years.
Since then, Kuwata Keisuke has been busy churning out multiple new songs, including Shiwase no Restaurant, CAFÉ BLEU, 100mannen no Shiawase!!, MASARU and Itoshii Hito e Sasagu Uta this year alone. You can check out the previews for the new songs, along with his past singles at Kuwata Keisuke’s YouTube Channel which was launched two days ago to promote the new album.
Starting September all the way until December, Kuwata will begin a nationwide tour for I LOVE YOU -now & forever- at 22 halls in 10 different prefectures. As luck would have it, I will be visiting Japan during that time and will hopefully be able to catch him at one of the venues.
