Himitsu
14 April, 2008 by Yan
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen an album by Aiko. Her last album was released back in the year 2006. Himitsu (秘密), Aiko’s 8th album was finally unveiled on 2nd of April this year. Aiko’s albums have always been able to snag the #1 title off the Oricon charts whenever they were released but sadly this time Himitsu only managed to reach #2 due fierce competition on the album charts.
Himitsu (秘密):
Unfortunately, I only managed place an online order for the album 2 days prior to its release date. When my shipment finally arrived weeks later, I was shocked to find that I had received the normal edition of the Himitsu album. Lucky for me, I had a friend who was visiting Japan at the time this album was released. He managed to dig out a copy of the limited edition Himitsu album, but not before countless nights of begging.
The main reason I really wanted the limited version is that there’s a really secret writing by Aiko hidden at the back of the sleeves. I believe that most fans might not even notice the small details that Aiko has meticulously added to the finishing touches of her album. This little secret also took me a while to notice. Every previous album also bears similar secrets within the contents.
Here’s the list of the songs in the album:
- 1.You & Me both
- 2.二人
- 3.学校
- 4.キョウモハレ
- 5.横顔
- 6.秘密
- 7.ハルとアキ
- 8.星電話
- 9.恋道
- 10.星のない世界
- 11.シアワセ
- 12.ウミウサギ
- 13.約束
Addicted to film, Yan shoots with a black Nikon Fm3a. For special occasions, Yan shoots with a Mamiya Sekor TLR.
