Double Helix Bridge Videos
27 April, 2010 by Sho
Singapore’s new Double Helix Bridge and the Youth Olympic Park were officially opened during the weekend. A variety of performances were planned for the event, some of which I managed to capture on video.
The first performance was by a cheerleading group from Temasek Polytechnic, the Blazers. Their instructor was a Japanese lady. The Blazers performed a couple of times at the staircase to the bridge before leaving. Yan spotted them again when we passed by Pastamania at Suntec City.
Next, were a couple of contemporary dance performances from more youths. Because the performance area was really just the entrance to the bridge, the narrow standing area made it difficult to view anything more than a sea of heads. It also meant that people had trouble actually getting onto the bridge whenever any performance was held.
